Geometry in Islamic Architecture of Iran... Shrine of Imam Reza, Mashad, Khorasan Province

  1. Islam in the beginning was quite a civilizing force. Allegorical references for mapping the spiritual forest are not necessarily bad and can help people navigate many formerly forbidden zones. But the map is never the territory, not in mathematics or anything else. And each sense has its own maps, including the sense of smell. If you smell a good perfume you are attracted. If you smell tacos you are hungry. If you smell garbage, you are repulsed and if you could smell as well as a dog, nobody could ever invade your house without you knowing it. lol

Of course, the grand-map combines all of them. Today's civilization is too hung-up on the Aristotelian verbal logic, especially the intellectuals. They try to solve way too many problems by words alone.
