The black Les Paul custom was purchased when PF was in Humble Pie, then thought to be lost on a cargo plane en route from Venezuela to Panama that crashed in 1980. Some Caribbean musician ended up with the guitar and played it for many decades until PF was notified that it was alive and re-purchased it.

    Gibson recently made only 35 exact replicas of this guitar, down to all the scratches and bumps (they aged the guitar as close to PF's original as possible) for collectors only. They go for 21 grand each.
