Photographer Travels Through Time By Inserting Herself Into Her Childhood Photos

London-based Japanese photographer Chino Otsuka explores the harsh truth of time lapse in her highly nostalgic and heartwarming series “Imagine Finding Me”. Otsuka took old photos from her childhood and adolescence and put pictures of her present self in them, creating bittersweet double self-portraits.
The work was done marvelously well. The two figures seems so natural being together in cool melancholy, as if the artist has gone back in time to meet her younger self.

“The digital process becomes a tool, almost like a time machine, as I’m embarking on the journey to where I once belonged and at the same time becoming a tourist in my own history,” said the photographer.

  1. Yeah, that's old stuff Del. Someone originally posted it at Clues Forum. Then I had it on my 25 Second 9-11 thread at DIF to prove that nobody's eyes alone are enough to tell fake imagery from real. I'll have to go update the link on it.

Chris just made a great little video:

The Shooting Epidemic, We Can't Stop Laughing!

I tried to put it in perspective for one of the you tube commenters why they hire the worst actors in the world and why this is almost certainly deliberate.

Good video. With so many examples of this it makes me think they laugh on purpose. Maybe some do it by accident but I get the feeling it's usually intentional.

+Coach Aaron J Or maybe, they just can't help themselves? The laughing seems genuine while the crying comes across as bad acting.

Well it's a lot eaier to fake a laugh than to fake cry but I know what you mean. I just feel like if the editors wanted them not to laugh they could have easily made them do it over, unless it really is live in which case anything goes. Still I think even a B level actor can do their part without laughing but who knows

+Coach Aaron J Yes, even a B-level actor can do a good job and PRE-MANUFACTURED as most of these PsyOps are and simply aired as "live" by a fully complicit media, they have as many takes as they want. Therefore, they are DELIBERATELY doing it this way so that you and people like you will do EXACTLY WHAT YOU DID: question your own sanity and common sense, and give THEM, the biggest liars in the history of the universe. every benefit of doubt there is. On the one hand, you have an obvious acting job rubbing your face in it and on the other you have the supreme "authority" figures of government and media declaring in direct contradiction that it was all REAL and EXACTLY as they said it was. So, your only out is to ask the obvious question: Wouldn't they, with all their money and power be able to hire the BEST actors in the world to play these simple parts competently for the pay-offs and identity-protection they receive? And your answer would be YES, of course, they could. THEREFORE they must not have faked these events or at least "WHO KNOWS" what went on , since no one would be THAT STUPID to hire actors of this level of incompetence. WRONG, they are not stupid, they just know all about psychological manipulation and they are NOT AFRAID that a tiny percentage of the world's population, at most a million people, catch them in the act. They are concerned with MASS PSYCHOLOGY only, that psych of those who back their power.
